| The title 'Parent' has meant many things over the course of history. The most important thing is that if your parents are not obeying God's Word, then they are sinning. All people are born with sin, we must overcome that sin. When the 'Parents' are silly, immature, or disrespectful, they are not overcoming the desires of the world. Of course, this is sinning. One day, the parents will answer to God, especially if they mislead their child into doing things that are clearly wrong. The Bible does say that for those adults who abuse or mislead children, it would be "better that a millstone be hanged around his neck, and cast into the sea, than to bring harm to the little ones." But my example is talking about parents asking their children to do ordinary chores and seeing the good results when kids obey their parents. It is sad that in today's world, there are many people who don't know how to parent because they ignore or don't know what is right. I'm glad we both have good parents.
