Anti-gay marriage activists claim that civil unions should be enough as they grant the same legal rights to gay couples. Marriage, they claim, should be "sacred". It's so sacred that we have eliminated divorce and extra-marital affairs. We went through this "seperate but equal" calamity before, but apparently haven't learned anything.
